As an adoption agency, Family Care’s registration includes providing adoption support services.
Adoption affects the lives of many people and has a life long impact.
we provide adoption support to
- adopted people
- birth family members
- adoptive family members
- and offer advice to other enquirers
Family Care can provide direct services to those with whom they have been involved and advice to others.

Specific services can include:
- advice and support
- providing information
- considering options
- individual/group work
- access to records
- help with tracing
- acting as an intermediary
- facilitating and supporting reunions
- advice and support on managing behaviour
- advice on explaining adoption
- support in managing contact
There may be cost implications attached to some of these services for example, in obtaining information to trace.
We are actively developing our adoption support services in line with current legislation and good practice.
