Family Care, in partnership with MacMillan Cancer Support, is launching a Nottinghamshire Children's Bereavement Service in 2008.

Called 'Spiral' the service will...

Provide early support, and where appropriate therapeutic interventions for bereaved children and young people and their families
Act as a link between all services, both voluntary and statutory sector, regarding bereavement issues for children
Provide awareness raising, resources and training to equip frontline staff in all agencies to respond appropriately to children affected by bereavement

Professional emotional support services for children and young people
Range of therapeutic approaches such as art, music, play
